Top theatre production 2h: 9m: 37s will be shown at the EK Arts Centre for one night only on Thursday 9th February.

Writer and performer Kris Haddow leads a journey through the world of insomnia through a series of characters and sketches based on his personal experiences.  The play was first commissioned for the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.

There's Gordon, a man who really loves coffee.  There's Brenda, a woman who hasn't slept since 'Oor Davy'.  And thrown in with some others, there's Kris himself.  Why two hours, nine minutes and thirty-seven seconds?  What is the secret to a good night's sleep? And what's really going on in the nation's bedrooms at night?

2h: 9m: 37s is a fast-paced comedy infused with moments of calm snatched from the wee small hours of night.

Kris Haddow is a Scottish actor, playwright and author of short stories written in Scots and English. He writes arts commentary and theatre reviews for publication in the UK and online.

Winner of the 2010 ‘see me’ Scotland Creative Writing Award with his short story entry Ronnie’s Story, judged by author Lari Don and awarded by Scots Makar Liz Lochhead, Kris later adapted the piece as a dramatic monologue and has since preformed it at rehearsed readings in Glasgow.

Kris recently toured in Girl X with the National Theatre of Scotland and in Scottish Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet, appeared in community opera with Scottish Opera and the Citizens Theatre, sang traditional folk music at the Citizens Theatre to accompany their production Fair Friday, and has been filmed in several BBC Scotland productions as a supporting artist.

Make Your Move, a short play written, directed by and co-starring Kris alongside actor Robert Softley, premiered on 22nd June as part of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Five Minute Theatre event.

Kris is a trained baritone and recently sang to an audience of over 2,000 at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in More Classic Musicals.

Runtime: 50 minutes - Suitable for ages 14+ (modern language).  The production is supported by the 'see me' campaign.
