Three teenagers have been injured in a shooting in West London.
The girls, aged 17, 18 and 19, were taken to hospital after the incident. Their injuries are said not to be life-threatening. London Ambulance Service said the 18 year old was transferred to hospital as a priority, while the other two girls made their own way there.
A police spokesman said "We have got officers down there trying to piece together what is going on." Operation Trident, set up to tackle gun crime in the black community, is investigating.
Karen Buck, Labour MP for Westminster North, tweeted her concern: "Desperately worried about local gang and youth violence. We have to get a grip." Ms Buck has previously called for crackdowns on gun and knife crime.
The Mozart Estate, where the shooting took place, has been plagued by gang violence in the past, including a series of postcode wars.
