Police in Lanarkshire are urging all persons and business to be extra vigilant when using ATM terminals after police were recently called to an incident in the Moodiesburn area, where it was found that a device, namely a card skimming device had been placed onto the machine.
EK Gain Revenge With Six Try Romp

EK’s 1st XV ended the season in great style with a 39-0 victory over Glasgow Accies, gaining revenge for the disappointing defeat at Accies earlier in the season. Man of Match – Chris O’Neill.
EK finished their league season in third place, with a comprehensive victory over fourth placed Glasgow Accies. Following a Robbie Greenfield penalty in the first minute, however, it did not look as if EK would be runaway victors.
EK Eagles Roller Hockey

Once again all four sides from EK Eagles Roller Hockey club were in action on Sunday against the Glenrothes Grizzlies, but all fell to defeat, despite some tremendously close and exciting games.
The under 10s were on first and produced an excellent showing and came desperately close to snatching a win. Skipper Murray Brown put them ahead early on before the visitors went ahead. Liam Kenny, Oden Barber and Ruari Brown worked hard throughout, and Murray Brown later grabbed a second, but the Eagles fell to a 2-4 defeat. Conor Gilroy was Player of the Match.
EK Avondale 2nds Vs Glasgow University

EK Avondale 2nds wound up their league campaign on Saturday with a home defeat at the hands of Glasgow University.
Having beaten the students in their previous game, EK were confident of a repeat performance but were without at least four regulars, whilst the University side bore absolutely no similarity from that match.
Police Scotland Stages Day-Long Crackdown On Violent Crime And Disorder In Lanarkshire

Weapons, drugs and cash have been seized and more than 120 people have been arrested or reported to the Procurator Fiscal as part of a crackdown on violent crime across Lanarkshire.
Operation Fleet, the first under Police Scotland, took place on Friday 19 April 2013.
The crackdown involved around 2 hundred local and specialist officers from the likes of the Organised Crime Unit, Divisional Proactive Drugs Units, mounted and dog branches and road policing.

Confident Start For Scotland’s Leading Housebuilder In 2013

The region’s leading housebuilder, Persimmon Homes, says it’s made a positive start to 2013 with visitors to its developments up by 5% compared to last year.
Speaking while attending the company’s AGM in York today, John Cassie, Persimmon Homes Scotland’s Regional Chairman, said: “We’re currently seeing incoming enquiries to our Persimmon Homes and sister-brand, Charles Church, websites increase by 30% compared to last year.”
